Hello mark!
I live in the Algarve, south of Portugal (Europe). Our climate is, apparentely, more or less like Californias'. We have mild to cold winters (now 19º to 20º degreess celsius) and hot summers with wonderful beaches. I buy my products in a farm (in Lagoa-algarve)that belongs to an english couple, and they grow many things there, like carrots, cabbages, onions, lettuces and so on and so on. But, as this is a small town many things come from abroad, such as apples (from germany), kiwis, bananas (from Madeira island or the caribean). In some supermarkets we can get other things coming from known producers from up north or center portugal. What i miss is young coconuts which water is sooo good. I had them in Brasil, but here we only have mature coconuts. O.K that's it!
