Check out this video of Philip McCluskey on CBS's The Doctors with his testimony of losing 200 pounds over 2 years on the raw food diet. He gives a clear, strong and confident testimonial of how raw foods helped him lose weight. The food portrayed on the show is high fat "hollywood" raw although a good transition for those looking to regain their health or lose weight. Many start on this high fat raw diet and then after some time realize it's not working and start moving towards a lower fat diet like the 80/10/10 raw vegan model that Dr. Doug Graham encourages for best health. That's been my personal experience as well and has helped me lose over 50 pounds and maintain my natural weight consistently over the last 3.5 years.

    Thanks for posting… Yeah for raw vegan promotion! Unfortunate, yet not surprising, was the comment from the female doctor who said, “a little to healthy for me” Tooo Healthy??? Speaking from my own past experience it seems more like sheeple logic masking socially acceptable dietary self-abuse. Maybe someone can lovingly remind her that she’s in the health promotion profession. 😉

    This is similar to a vegetarian diet, although raw vegan doesn’t include any animal or cooked foods. Vegetarian normally includes heated vegetable dishes and dairy products which are derived from animals. What’s too healthy depends on your choice of how you want to feel. Most often we don’t know how good we can feel unless we actually try something that allows us to feel that way. Otherwise we just know how we feel at the present time, doing what we do now, not knowing that it’s possible to feel so much better. Switching to a low fat raw vegan lifestyle has allowed me so many benefits I didn’t know possible including permanent weight loss (and never having to worry about weight loss again), no aches and pains – ever, excellent conditioning, energy, clear thought, better eyesight (got rid of my glasses) and so many more.
